With this in mind, on Tuesday, 4 March 2025, the Sachsenfeld Volunteer Fire Department scheduled a field exercise. ARMANO Messtechnik GmbH provided the fire department with space in one of their buildings.

The emergency call was ‘fire in a storage room with 2 missing persons’. After establishing a stable supply of extinguishing water, the priorities were to locate the missing people in the affected area and fight the fire. Working under heavy breathing equipment, the firefighters successfully located the source of the fire and extinguished it. They soon found the missing people and brought them outside for further treatment. After completing their task, the crew practised how to properly and safely remove their contaminated protective clothing after a fire.
