Screw plugs for thermowells are an efficient solution for processes with several measuring points that do not require continuous temperature monitoring at all points. With thermowells permanently integrated into the process, a limited number of thermometers can often be sufficient to reliably monitor the system.
To protect the unused thermowells from contamination between measuring cycles, they are fitted with screw plugs. These prevent the ingress of dirt and contamination of the threads, thereby avoiding measurement deviations and potential impairment of process reliability.
