ATEX

ARMANO PTB –ATEX
The ATEX-directive 2014/34/EU defines rules for placing instruments on the market that are applied in potentially explosive areas or as protection systems, which are important for the safety of explosion protected equipment. This directive defines minimum requirements for work protection in potentially explosive areas. Various institutes and service companies are appointed as certification authority. They examine and authorise electrical and mechanical equipment for the application in potentially explosive areas. The DEKRA Certification approves our quality assurance system through regular audits, based on existing CENELEC standards.

EHEDG - European Hygienic Equipment Design Group

EHEDG Certificate
The main task of the EHEDG is to ensure the hygienic construction and design in all fields of the food industry and granting a secure production with this. The EHEDG still supports the European legislation and its requirement according to hygienic treatment, processing and packing of food with the help of hygiene-compatible machines as well as a hygienic environment (EC-directive 2006/42/EG for machines, EN 1672-2 and EN ISO 14159 for hygienic requirements).

3A - Sanitary Standards - USA

3-A Certificate
3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. (3-A SSI) is an independent, non-profit corporation in the USA dedicated to advancing hygienic equipment design for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

The 3-A Symbol, administered by 3-A SSI, is a registered mark used to identify equipment that meets 3-A Sanitary Standards for design and fabrication.

The 3-A standards are for the sanitary design, fabrication and cleanability of dairy and food equipment used to handle, process and package consumable products where a high degree of sanitation is required.
These sanitary standards are developed through the cooperative efforts of industry experts, equipment manufacturers, food and beverage product manufacturers and regulatory sanitarians. The goal of 3-A SSI is to protect consumable products from contamination and to ensure that all product surfaces can be mechanically (CIP) cleaned or easily dismantled for manual cleaning. The 3-A Standards have achieved worldwide recognition and acceptance.

FDA - Food and Drug Administration

Food and Drug Administration FDA
The FDA is responsible for the protection of the public health in the USA.
The FDA standard has been developed to ensure the quality of a product in the context of food safety and to encourage companies to produce high-quality products.
The origin of the product has to be verifiable at any time. In case of problems concerning the safety of a product, the FDA certificate can help to find the origin and thereby the source of the problem faster.

DNV GL

German Lloyd GL
DNV GL sets new standards regarding technique, quality and safety for shipping and the corresponding industry. DNV GL is also a leading certification authority in the field of wind energy, environment protection, oil- and gas industry as well as building technique.

NACE - National Association of Corrosion Engineers

NACE - National Association of Corrosion Engineers
Sour gas resistance according to NACE MR 0175/ISO and MR 0103

NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) International is an organisation that has its primary focus on the topic corrosion in the broadest sense and that publishes its recommendations as NACE standard.

Both above-mentioned NACE standards describe the corrosion characteristics of metals in presence of hydrogen sulphide (H2S) under various corrosion mechanisms. The corrosion characteristics are subject to ambient conditions (pH-value, chloride content, H2S-concentration and temperature) as well as the maximum strength of the materials.

Focus of NACE MR 0103 is the hydrogen-induced stress cracking corrosion. It defines the requirements towards every single material and the maximum permissible temperature limit for the use in refineries.
Focus of NACE MR 0175 is the chloride-induced stress cracking corrosion. It defines the material requirements and temperature limits for the use in oil and gas production.

Hence, these standards help with the choice of the materials.

According to ISO 15156-1, the user has the responsibility of the selection of suitable materials.

The Russian Register of Shipping sets new standards in technique, quality and safety for shipping and the corresponding industry in the Russian Federation.

GOST-Type certification - Russia

GOST Russia certificate
The certificate is being provided by the institutes or laboratories for quality assurance that are accredited by ROSTECHREGULATION, the Russian authority for standardisation, metrology and certification. It is being tested if the products fulfil the safety-related requirements according to the Russian norms and regulations. A labelling obligation is mandatory for certified products.

GOST-Type certification Kazakhstan

The GOST-Type certification for Kazakhstan is being carried out according to the same criteria as the GOST-Type certification for Russia.

EEX Explosion Proof Certification (EAC – Customs Union Certification)

EEX Explosion Proof Certification (EAC – Customs Union Certification)
The three countries Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan founded a Eurasian Customs Union. In Russian “EAC” is the abbreviation for this customs union. The Ex-proof certificate is used to certify ex-protected equipment and materials.
The EEX certificate of the customs union EAC is defined for the import of goods into Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.

SIL or Safety Integrity Level is a safety integrity level and is directly based on the Norm IEC 61508.
SIL can be defined as the measure for operating safety that allows a determination of the recommendations regarding the whole safety functions that are allocated to the electrical, electronic and programmable security systems.
